Digital transformation. Through the lens of organisations and leadership.

I combine research experience on how digital technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) in particular, are transforming organisations, collaboration and leadership, with practical experience in the fields of project management, process digitalisation, teaching and professional development. My focus is on what technologies enable within an organisation and how organisations need to shape this change.

In brief

Master of Science in Business Informatics. Since 2021, I have worked as a research associate at the University of Koblenz. I submitted my dissertation on digital leadership and advanced digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), in September 2026, with the defence expected in December 2026. My position at the university ends on 31 January 2027, after which I will move into industry. From 2025 onwards, I have been responsible for the academic management of the “Digitalisierung” specialisation within the MBA programme. Prior to this, I spent three years working at a cooperative bank where a document management system was introduced. I also worked as a sports journalist for eleven years.

I like bringing people to one table, turning many opinions into a clear structure – and then getting started. I understand the technology, but what matters to me is that the people who work with it come along.

Positioning

What I make of it: one intersection, three perspectives

Whether it is teaching and research at university, banking or sports journalism, the common thread is always the same. People, technology and organisation cannot be understood in isolation from one another. However, transformation work is usually driven by just one of these perspectives: either technologists who understand systems or change specialists who understand people. The most interesting challenges lie somewhere in between, and that is precisely where my expertise lies.

Research → Business

From evidence to action.

This is how I work: gather evidence, recognise patterns, translate them into decisions. No ivory tower – the path ends where an organisation works differently than before.
